Donna is a registered nutritionist based in Co. Donegal, Ireland.

Donna Mc Gettigan RNutr BSc (Hons) PGD MSc has over a decade of experience working as a nutritionist with individuals, groups and businesses.

Her aim is to inspire healthy eating by giving scientifically proven dietary and lifestyle advice and ultimately, to empower people to take control of their health.

Donna is a member of the UKVRN as a registered nutritionist specialising in public health and is also a member of the Association for Nutrition and the Nutrition Society.

The title “Registered Nutritionist” shortened to “RNutr” let’s you know that a nutritionist is: suitably qualified, committed to evidence-based practice and adheres to ethical and professional standards.


Donna graduated from Ulster University, Coleraine in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Food Technology. She then worked in the biochemical analysis of food.

This led to an increased interest in nutrition, and in 2005 Donna graduated from Ulster University with a postgraduate diploma (PGD) in Human Nutrition exploring the science of food as it relates to human health.

In 2016 Donna attained a masters degree (MSc) in Food Regulatory Affairs from Ulster University and University College Dublin, which integrates science, law and food/health policy as applied to the regulation of the entire food chain. Her research area was nutrition and health claims in Ireland. Donna continues her professional development through ongoing training and education.

Her unique education and experience have given her a comprehensive knowledge of food and nutrition.
